Hello, Mr. Allato

The connecting gateway is designed with a geometric mass derived from the given workable area. The gateway is wedged between the tow museums, softened by its reflective materiality. A darker hue was arrived at to contrast and accentuate the white aesthetic of its neighbors. The design gives a dynamic to the gateway as it transitions to transparency at night via the reflecting insulation glass. A noticeable feature are the floating square panls on the facade seemingly random, these squares are actually Braille letters that spell out "Alvar Aalto"
